1. Equipment Introduction
1.1 Overview
The flow visualization channel fluid dynamics laboratory equipment teaching equipment can be used to visualize the flow around the towed body and the flow phenomenon in the open channel, including the following:
(1) The towed body or weir is fixed in the experimental water tank, and the streamlines can be made visible by injecting contrast agent;
(2) The experimental water tank is made of transparent material, so the formation of streamlines and vortices can be easily observed;
(3) The water level in the experimental water tank can be adjusted by the sluice at the inlet and the weir at the outlet;
(4) There are two weirs and four different towed bodies available for experiments;
(5) The rectifier ensures that the water flow is uniform and without vortex;
(6) The experimental unit can be easily and safely placed on the workbench of the fluid base module, and the fluid base module can also be used to measure the flow rate.
